What are prayers? To pray means to convey a request to God. Those who believe that there is no God, can still pray to the higher power in who they have belief.

Connor, a man in his late 40s, has achieved everything he ever thought he needed to feel happy and secure. He owns a successful business, has a wonderful wife and two children, and a beautiful home. Yet when you look at him, he doesnt look happy. He looks empty, with no sense of vibrancy about him.
Hands that give are holier Than the lips that pray.
Can the Source of existence be a thing? The following is my ponderance on this question. It is not a definitive article. It is just an expression of my own thoughts.
One can not imbibe steadfastness and buoyant spirits unless he has peace of mind within himself blooming with love. His positive approach in life will boost selfesteem and he has to leave the past dead. His success depends upon taking every challenge as a passion and never to curse his luck but look perkier. Such a person arrests every moment of life for best use and casts magic spell on others to pull them along with him. The life of such a person will be like swirling fields with changing seasons and strutting water streams with giggling and crackling sound. His activities of life are stressed on Karma (actions) as to be remembered and emulated by others as he is forward looking with fervent hope at every step which is the basis for our momentto moment life breath and is elated at every success and he is never tired or disillusioned at failures.
Lian had been meditating for many years before consulting with me for his depression. He had been part of a spiritual community that encouraged their members to turn to God through prayer and meditation whenever they were feeling any difficult or painful feelings such as anger, hurt, anxiety, or depression. He had been taught that Spirit would transmute his feelings for him and bring him the peace he sought.
Many people try to hold a raging fire within themselves, but it restlessly and relentlessly gnaws at their core. Some have tried to cover it up with alcohol, numb it with drugs, hide it with shopping, kids, work, or religion, or fuel it with sex. The Baby Boomers looked for eternal youth and to change the world. They thought they would never grow up, but they did. They thought they would change the world and they did.
The previous generation looked for the American Dream....
